The Yukon Gold Panning Championship is a celebration of the Yukon’s heritage as well as the mining industry that still thrives here today.

Experience gold panning in the Klondike during the Yukon Gold Panning Championships! Gold panners of any skill and all ages are welcome to join this competition based on efficiency and speed.

There are 7 categories in the event and skill levels range from complete beginner to those who make their living mining. Each category rewards a first, second, and third place, and all participants keep the gold they find!

Sign up to volunteer for the Yukon Gold Panning Championships, Saturday, July 5th, 2025!

The Yukon Gold Panning Championships will take place from 12:00 - 4:00pm, on Saturday, July 5th, 2025 in the Diamond Tooth Gerties parking lot.


We will be looking for volunteers to help out between 11:30am - 4:30pm on the day of the event.
